Starring Core Gameplay Changes In The Nhl 11 League

The nhl 11 league video game is the 19th release in EA Sports NHL series of simulated professional ice hockey video games. The cover athlete for NHL 11 sold in North America is the 2010 Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jonathan Toews, captain of the Stanley Cup winning Chicago Blackhawks and a leader of the Canadian Olympic gold medal winning hockey team. Jonathan Toews is now a part of the video game he enjoyed playing growing up.

As has become a hallmark of EA Sports, NHL 11 marks an evolutionary step forward for the series. The changes generally allow for a more realistic and creative game play, mode changes and adding the Canadian Hockey League. This title can be played on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. All the modes of NHL 10 are retained in this new release. The Ultimate Team mode is the new addition. It is an online mode in which players build a team using cards. The choice of about 4,000 players from the different leagues offers a good variety. The team that is assembled will play other assembled teams. The created team will be a member of the EA Ultimate Hockey League. In 30 days you will go through a whole season. Through single-player matches and various tournaments teams will be ranked for the playoffs. Each month a new season commences.

Game users will discover that chemistry plays a key role in this mode. Teams that do well in post season are rewarded with arena banners and field logos in the next season. Each assembled can be revitalized by using the Free Agent and Draft packs given out after the post season play.

The biggest game play addition is the new real-time physics engine, which makes every match feel different and more realistic. This replaces the animation based system. The unpredictability of game play now better matches the unpredictability of real-life hockey. Realism is further enhanced by the new faceoff system. There are more than 200 game play enhancements that make the new game, the most authentic hockey video game experience so far.

The first appearance of the Canadian Hockey League in this series adds more depth and diversity. Adding this most prestigious grouping of junior hockey is a coup for EA Sports. The members are the Western Hockey, the Ontario Hockey and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey leagues. The number of playable teams rises by 60 with this new addition. Players will now play for the Memorial Cup they compete for. The Canadians hope to raise popular awareness of junior hockey with its appearance in the virtual sphere. The inclusion of player names from this league should help bring greater awareness of junior hockey and the role it plays in enriching the professional rank.

Already a best-selling game around the world, the addition of these young players will give many fans an introduction to young hockey players on the verge of being drafted into the NHL. With the NHL series already featuring teams from the NHL, the AHL and several European teams, the incorporation of the Canadian juniors further adds to the play value of NHL 11. The realistic gameplay along with the many modes of play will bring gamers coming back for more.
